Join Our Team – Part-Time Tour Guide

Cape Breton Backcountry Adventures is hiring a charismatic and outgoing part-time tour guide for the 2025 season! If you love the outdoors, enjoy talking with people, and want to tour the back roads of Cape Breton this summer, we’d love to hear from you.

 

Position Details:

• Seasonal, Part-Time | June to October

• Preference given to applicants living in or near: Margaree, Baddeck, Cheticamp, Inverness, and surrounding areas

 

Responsibilities:

• Lead/guide backcountry tours with confidence and enthusiasm

• Engage guests with local knowledge, stories, nature, history, and a fun attitude

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all guests throughout the tour

• Provide exceptional customer service to guests throughout the tour

• Maintain vehicle cleanliness (interior/exterior)

• Report vehicle issues or damages promptly

• Occasionally assist with merchandise sales

 

Requirements:

• Class 4 driver’s license, and Basic first aid are required before guiding tours, but may be obtained Turing training if candidate does not have them.

• Clean driving record

• Clean criminal record

• 19+ years old

• Non-cigarette Smoker

• Guiding or instructing experience is not required but is an asset.
