Arrival at Two Macs Gallery - 6288 North East Margaree

This experience combines scenic Jeep touring through the hidden backroads and viewpoints of the Margaree region with a two-hour guided fly fishing session on the Margaree River. Guests travel on-road and off-road while learning about the area’s history and landscape before stopping riverside to fish with expert guides—perfect for beginners through experienced anglers. All gear and instruction are included, making it an accessible and immersive Cape Breton backcountry adventure.

    Guests are welcome inside the Gallery to browse or shop, but please do not plan to wait for your guide inside the shop. Cape Breton Backcountry and the Gallery are not affiliated.

  • Please try to arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time. 

    If you don't see your Jeep right away, do not panic, they are likely finishing the previous tour and will be right there!

    • Meet your Cape Breton Backcountry Adventures guide and depart by Jeep

    • Travel winding back roads, forested dirt roads, and river corridors while learning about the landscape, history, and culture of the Margaree area

    • Midway through the experience, transition from Jeep to river for a two hour guided fly fishing session with Tight Lines Guiding

    • Beginners learn fly fishing fundamentals in a relaxed setting, while intermediate and experienced anglers refine skills and explore productive water

    • Return to the Jeep and continue deeper into the backcountry with additional scenic stops before concluding the tour
